In Hedgehogs we are friendly, and we take care of one another. We look after our classroom and take pride in all our work. We are settling into our new school, getting to know each other and making new friendships.
In English this term we will introduce daily phonics through a mix of ‘Letters and Sounds’ and ‘Jolly Phonics’. We will be looking at a range of books: Rainbow fish, Owl babies, The Three Little Pigs and The Nativity. Our Maths focus will be reciting, recognising and counting objects up to 20. We love learning something new and developing our skills.
Our topics this term will involve finding out all about the children and where we live, exploring our environment, looking at our favourite books and discovering what festival and traditions the children celebrate.
The children also have the benefit of weekly P.E lessons in the hall.
We look forward to show casing our work in an exhibition at the end of the half term and our visit to the library that is full of amazing books.
