We are continuing to welcome new children and their families into the EYC and are really enjoying working with the children through lots of play support, encouraging them to extend their ideas, imagination and communication and language skills.
We have an exciting summer term ahead of us with lots of things happening. Our topics include People who help us, Pirates and Fairies, and Summer. This will include dressing up days, visitors from different occupations, treasure hunts, and a beach role play area.
Having had a successful Mothers Day afternoon tea we are going to be doing a Grandparents day, and also a Father's Day with bacon sandwiches. We are also going to have an art exhibition of the children's wonderful work, towards the end of the school year.
As part of our Manor Court 48 we will be having a picnic in the park, and also flying a kite.
Our 'school ready' children will be starting their transitions down to the foundation stage, getting to know the school a little better. They are currently using our 'school ready' room where the children are play supported with different letter and sound activities of their choice. They have also started 'school ready' books which they are able to draw their wonderful work in.
