As per recent Government/ NHS guidance we are reminding children to wash their hands on a regular basis.
If your child is unwell, showing signs of a cold/cough then please keep them at home.
If staff levels are affected by the virus, we will communicate school arrangements on our website and through our usual bad weather contingency plans.
We continue to monitor the situation and will take our lead from the advice given by the Department for Education.
Today all children will be issued with a home education pack and explanation letter in the event of school closure or self-isolation. For families that are already self-isolating, these packs will be available to collect from school from tomorrow. If anyone in your household is displaying symptoms then please arrange for someone other than a household member to collect the education pack.
Thank you for your continued support.
Mr L Talmage
Self-isolation is a control measure recommended by the NHS and Government during this pandemic. The purpose of this measure is to keep all members of society safe from exposure.
If children are kept away from school by parents and parents inform us that the reason their child is not in school, is because of self-isolation, then children must not be playing outside at any point in the day (this is following the most up-to-date guidance from the NHS on self-isolation, see document below). If they are witnessed this absence will become unauthorised.
