The Den

At Manor Court we are committed to building on learning experiences and allowing the child to develop from their previous learning. The Den gives those children who need more time to learn through play and develop socially the chance to develop at their rate.

The Den provides a safe learning environment for a small group of children to carry out role play, be creative, discuss any issues and develop in self-esteem in readiness for their learning in the classroom. The children develop their social skills of turn taking, sharing, listening to and respecting others.

The Den has hamsters to develop the feeling of caring for something, and visit Sidmouth’s Donkey Sanctuary, where we have adopted a donkey called Daniel P. Here the children further develop self-esteem and working with others.

Children grow in our caring and safe environment.
